Our Story

How We Got Started

360VUES is run by two brothers - Michael and Chris. We have spent our adult lives in corporate work - Michael in software, Chris in quality engineering - and somewhere in the middle of those careers we both arrived at the same realization: precious time was being under-utilized with corporate careers that kept us from the real world. We decided to do something about it. We agreed, the beauty of this world is undershared, and it is definitely worth sharing. It's a problem worth solving, so we analyzed: How best can the technical nature of the world be used as the medium to connect people with areas of the world that represent beauty and peace.

The most beautiful places in the world are chronically under-shared, and many of them are only reachable through the hospitality industry - resorts, lodges, and boutique hotels at the edges of coastlines, valleys, and parks most travelers never hear about. We started 360VUES to use technology as the medium that connects online attention to the real world. Immersive Matterport virtual tours turned out to be the closest thing to actually being there - equally accessible to anyone with a browser, and, by coincidence, the single best content type with the longest dwell time on a hospatility website. When we read Marriott's case study showing a 300% lift in direct bookings after rolling out 3D virtual tours across their portfolio, the mission made itself: bring that same outcome to every resort and venue we possibly can, and enjoy every minute of sharing the beauty of the world with more people, so they may spend more time in it too.
